How many total pictures do you take and how many do we receive back?
It is difficult to give an exact figure because every wedding is different. It depends on the number of locations there are to visit and the duration of your package. The figures could vary between 1000 and 2000 photos. You will receive every single photo taken, no matter which package you select.
What is a flush mount album?
Flush mount photo books originated as high-end wedding albums that were custom made by boutique binderies. These ranged in price from several hundred to thousands of dollars. Flush mount books differed from regular photo books by being hand mounted on thick inner board with real silver halide photo paper; giving the book many desirable characteristics. Flush mount differs from regular photo books in having a stronger, tighter, finer, superior core. Flush mount books are built like a brick, they feel robust and their weight carries a crafted feel. Flush mount books use rigid real silver halide photo paper that comes with a beautiful Lustre finish. Flush mount albums have a coating that protects against spills and stains. All flush mount books use a layflat design, which gives stunning panoramic views. Flush mount albums are today's most modern and elegant platform in showcasing your wedding story.
What is a hard cover photo book?
Regular press photo books are photo books that are mass produced using inkjet printers and stock paper. By trade they are known as the "press printed books" because they use the same type of ink, paper, and press print method as magazines and catalogs. Less costly than Flush Mount albums, Photo books offer an industry standard platform to showcasing your wedding story.

I would like you to shoot my wedding, how do I start the process?
Ideally contact us as soon as you have your wedding date set. It is always best to book as early as possible because it can be disappointing not to have the first choice of photographer. Some people book a year and a half in advance. You can reach us via our contact form along with your wedding date and any other relevant information. We are able to respond either through email or phone. If possible, we would prefer to meet you both in person so you can get to know your future photographer and can ask us anything you need.
How far should we book in advance?
Typically 8-12 months in advance or as soon as you have a date set. If you’re not the type to plan ahead do not worry! Check with us for availability. We may have an opening for you!
Where are you based out of?
We are proud to be a Montreal based company.
Do you travel?
Yes! We love to travel and will generally arrive at least the day before the event to help ensure that unexpected travel delays do not make us late or miss your big day. Let us know where you are and we’ll figure out the best way to get us out to you. We also offer Destination Wedding services. Please contact us for further details.
Will you take photos of the groom as well as the bride before the wedding?
The pre-ceremony morning photos are some of our favorite to capture. The energy, emotion and excitement of everyone moving about is there, but we can also capture the calm and solemn moments when the bride and groom think about their wedding vows, the friends and family around them, and everything leading up to and away from their moment. Normally we will first visit the bride while she has her hair and make up done, and capture details such as the dress, rings, shoes as well as some informal photos with her parents and bridesmaids. If the guys are getting ready nearby, then we will aim to get shots of them getting ready too.
Where should I seat the photographer and his assistant during the reception?
Ideally a table not to far away from the table of honor should be dedicated to the DJ, videographers and photographers. This will ensure constant coverage from a distance.
Should I supply a meal for the photographer and his assistant?
For all packages that include a reception, a meal must be provided by the couple to ensure the presence of the photographer and his assistant during all your special moments.
When will I get to see my wedding photos?
Your photos will generally be ready within 2-4 weeks following the wedding. We go through a careful process of choosing the best images from the day and processing each of them with individual attention.
What is a mobile studio?
Most venues will offer you a rain plan with a backup indoor location. We easily adapt to any situation. Our favorite wedding photos have a lot more to do with your personalities and your chemistry as a couple, than what kind of background you’re standing in front of. If you are happy and in love, that will show in your photos. We see rain as a fun, adventurous twist that usually brings laughter and spontaneity.
Do you work with a second photographer?
Only upon request. Our photographer is always accompanied by an assistant who ensures the smooth running of the day. Our photographer takes each photo himself at every wedding, unlike large studios who contract several photographers, you will never get a substitute. By hiring us, you ensure that it is only us who will be responsible for photographing the biggest day of your life. After all, you chose us because you like what we do!
Who chooses the photographs in the album?
This is your wedding so naturally you will be able to pick a selection of photos that you feel you must have in the album. This can be anywhere from 0 to the entire album. However, we advise that you let us choose the majority of the photos for the album since we always use our best judgment to select the best and most relevant photos to tell the story of your wedding day. One of the top reasons, couples often times say they haven’t ordered the albums from their photographers is because they haven’t gotten around to choosing the pictures for the album.
How do you define your style?
Our photographer has a background in fashion and beauty, therefore, his style is most often described as “modern documentary.” What this means is he photographs your day as it unfolds naturally without interference. However, he also puts a lot of energy and time into your “creative portraits,” which are the photos of just the two of you. He looks for interesting light, angles and backgrounds, and often uses unusual experimental techniques to turn your wedding portraits into works of art.
Why should we have a destination wedding?
Destination weddings are a great choice for countless couples for a variety of reasons. To some, the financial savings over a traditional wedding is appealing. For others, it seems natural, since many of their relatives will be traveling to attend the wedding anyway. This is a fabulous option for couples who do not have a large number of guests who will attend or for those who may simply want to buck tradition. Whatever the reason, a destination wedding could be the perfect memorable way to say “I do!” Some couples prefer staying at the chosen destination for a full week as part of their honeymoon.
Where should we go for our destination wedding?
Traditionally, destination weddings were thought of as island or tropical affairs. However, a destination wedding simply means you are traveling away from home to get married. The destination you choose could be a town or city where your family or ancestors were once rooted, a place you have always wanted to visit or somewhere that seems to be ideally suited to your big day. The possibilities are endless!
We wish we could meet with you, but we don’t live in Montreal, Ottawa or Laval. Is there an alternative?
The majority of our couples hire us without an in-person meeting. We are very quick, and very thorough, with emails and are able to answer most questions that way. However, we are happy to talk with you on the phone or schedule a Skype video meeting. A lot of of our out-of-town clients have done this, and we love it! We recently Skyped with one couple who lived in Hong Kong. We can always find a time and method that works!
What are the extra fees?
Travel fees, roundtrip airfare for two (photographer and assistant), a rental car (including gas and taxes), and hotel accommodations. Our Destination Wedding package rates are dramatically subsidized to help cover the cost of bringing us to your special location. Contact us to find out more!
How do we arrange your travel for a destination wedding?
We will book our own airfare, hotel and transportation, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Will you travel for engagement sessions as well?
We are happy to come to your town or meet you at a fabulous destination of your choice. Please contact us for specific information.
What are some of the best destinations for Weddings?
Florida is hands-down one of the best destination wedding locations in the United States. We have photographed a South Beach wedding, Key Biscayne wedding, Naples wedding, Boca Raton wedding, and many others. You can have a chic Miami wedding at a high-end resort, or a more relaxed Florida beach wedding away from the crowds. The possibilities are endless. Also MEXICO! Weddings in Mexico are magical. There’s something about going to another country – a sunny, beautiful country – with your closest family and friends for the party of your life. It’s a vacation, it’s relaxing, it’s adventurous, and you can let loose and just revel in the exotic, gorgeous beaches and ocean. There are many different types of weddings you can have in Mexico. The most popular is the beach wedding, and for good reason. The beaches in Mexico are intoxicatingly beautiful, and the water is clear aquamarine blue. You can have a church wedding – Catholic churches are abundant. We especially love the chapel at the One & Only Palmilla in Cabo. And then you can have a wedding in the jungle, which is what we did, at the most beautiful location in Mexico, the Hacienda Uayamon in Campeche.
