Before Bella Vita,
there was a wedding.
Peter spent years as a fashion and fitness photographer: published, working with agencies, building a career around reading people under pressure. That work taught him one thing: the moment you stop directing is the moment the real photo happens.
Then he met Melissa. She was from Upstate New York; he was in Montreal. They did the long-distance thing, the engagement thing, then the wedding thing, and somewhere in the middle of planning their own day, they realized they were seeing the industry from the inside in a way most photographers never do.
Bella Vita came from that: two people who had been there. The best thing we can bring isn't a style or a technique: it's knowing what this day actually costs someone emotionally, and showing up worthy of that trust.
